Last week we had a chance to visit Riley’s Apple Farm in Oak Glen. We headed up towards the mountains early in the morning to avoid the rain that was coming in the afternoon. As we climbed the first hills the fog made its appearance. The orchard was very rich in beautiful apples and a red apple carpet was decorating the garden. The farm offered hot apple cider as well as the opportunity to press your own cider. After picking some apples we headed home and as we were leaving the cold hills it started raining. My first experience of apple picking in the States brought back so many memories. When I was little I used to help my grandparents pick their apples and preserve them for winter. We don’t have to prepare and preserve anything for the winter here in California, but somehow I miss the family gatherings that ended up with apple jams and apple butters.
I wanted to present the new addition to the blog, Pink Productions. Pink Productions are video clips and footage that will provide greater detail about the outfit that I am wearing. The purpose of these videos is to inspire you as well as invite you behind the scenes of the locations I tend to film and photograph. Photos are a great influence and great inspiration, but sometimes it can not capture the beauty and the flow of a fabric. Please accept my invitation to escape with me to a magical place and destination where I walk down on an organic runway to present the novelty of a piece. I hope you enjoy these clips as much as I do and please let me know what you think. For watching more clips, please visit my brand new and developing Youtube channel, where I will post all my videos.
