This year I got inspired by the idea of simplifying some areas of my life. I was driven by minimalism when I decorated my Christmas tree. My house is mainly painted and decorated with earth tones and adding a little green gave a vibrant look to the room. The main decorating pieces are organic and wood emphasizing the simplicity and modesty of the season. Also, this year I decided to decorate my Christmas tree with white tones using wooden hearts that can be used as boards to write a note or blessing.
Christmas does not have to be overwhelming and tiring if we focus more on simple elements that can make ordinary pieces look elegant. My goal this year is to focus more on love and relationships rather than spending numerous hours decorating. Many of the items seen here are reused and re-purposed because I decided that I want to make a smaller footprint this/next year with my existence. Re-purposing is a challenge that excited me because it requires creativity.
I hope everybody’s Christmas preparations are going well and let me know what color you chose this year to decorate your Christmas tree. I wish a Merry Christmas to all of you and next week I will be sharing my Christmas outfit and some more elegant pieces that I plan to wear.
Decorating items:
