Valentine’s day is all about spending time together and showing love toward our loved ones. We planned this beautiful Sunday about a month ago. Since both of us are working on Valentine’s day, we thought that we will dedicate our weekend to celebrate this special day. The places I wanted to visit and have brunch at were all Parisian, therefore I called it a Parisian Valentine’s date. Sunday mornings in California are quiet and our nice ride to the hotel was traffic free. Arriving at The Peninsula was very exiting and when we entered the lobby we were blown away by the romantic elements, style and elegance. The Belvedere restaurant gave a true Parisian eating experience with great food options and elegant courses. After our brunch we visited the romantic garden and tried to soak in all the beauty of the place. The lobby was so welcoming, full of charm and style. The large chandeliers and the comfortable couches made me want to stay forever. The staff was very friendly and enjoyed sharing stories about the vibrancy of the hotel during the Oscars and the red carpet honorees.
Next, we headed over to Laduree a sweets and macaroon place to enjoy some French deserts. I am a little obsessed with roses and everything flowery, therefore I had a rose tea (the best of my life) and rose macaroons. We could not leave the place without trying their Eclairs and authentic French deserts. It was pleasantly surprising to hear many employees speak English with a charming French accent. Oh, what a lovely day! Forever… it will be remembered!
